Travel east from the capital’s striking skyline across sweeping desert highways to the vibrant Gulf-coast city of Dammam, where sea breezes, waterfront promenades, and a relaxed coastal atmosphere await. Linking the Kingdom’s political heart with its thriving Eastern Province, this route blends urban sophistication with the timeless beauty of the Arabian desert.

Itinerary

Day 1

Riyadh

Arrival in Riyadh and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Riyadh (B)

Visit Riyadh’s key historical and cultural sites. Tour Al Masmak Fortress, then explore Souq Al Zal for local goods like bukhoor, pottery, and prayer beads. Continue to the National Museum to learn about Saudi history. Conclude the experience with authentic Najdi cuisine, Saudi coffee, dates, and dishes such as Jareesh, Kabsa, and Gursan.

Day 3

Riyadh (B/D)

Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, get picked up and drive to the pyramid-shaped dunes. Arrive at the camp for an orientation and adventure activities—Jeep dune bashing, water wars, sandboarding, horse riding, shooting, or volleyball. Enjoy a traditional dinner at the camp, then return to the meeting point.

Day 4

Riyadh - Dammam (B)

Transfer to Riyadh airport and fly to Dammam. Upon arrival, begin your Eastern Region tour with a visit to Ithra. Continue to Dammam’s Heritage Village to explore its traditional mudbrick houses, mosques, and shops. Head to Al Khobar to walk through Graffiti Art Street, then visit the Taybeen Museum.

Day 5

Dammam (B/L)

Morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, enjoy a home-cooked lunch featuring authentic Al Ahsa dishes like Hassawi rice with meat or mandi. Visit the historic Princes' School (founded in 1941), then explore Al Koot district, known for its traditional mudbrick houses and old-town atmosphere.

Day 6

Dammam (B)

Transfer to Dammam Airport.
